Heigance’s mother described their journey as follows:

Notably, the Music Singapore International Competition final was a combined category spanning ABRSM Grades 3–4. Heigance advanced to the final at a Grade 2 level and won first prize among 30 contestants from different countries — a clear indication that his ability far exceeds the typical level for his age.
